Eline de Jager examines how gaps in representation have influenced the development of digital health technologies, with a particular focus on women’s sports health. Together, they will discuss why many digital health tools have historically overlooked diverse user needs, how this has driven new areas of research, and what developers, researchers, and healthcare professionals can do to create more equitable and inclusive digital health solutions.

Physiotherapist and researcher Garett Van Oirschot shares insights from his PhD research and clinical experience in musculoskeletal and sports health, demonstrating how diversity can be thoughtfully incorporated into online health education materials through real-world examples of inclusive visual and educational design.

Whether you are a healthcare professional, researcher, educator, student, or digital health innovator, this conversation will offer practical insights into designing digital health that works for everyone.
